My Doc has diagnosed CFS after loads of other tests came up normal but has not suggested seeing prof. Pinching or anything that will really help me to feel better.Would I get any more from prof.P or does he just diagnose? I want to get better -life is pointless when you feel like this -there is no goal post and no practical help.Sad

Hi daisymay

I'm suprised you weren't refered to Prof P but maybe they have changed the process.

The main thing that helped me was rest, lots and lots of it, interspersed with 10/20 mins of different activities like radio 4 or 7, ds game, cup of tea, sleep, radio, toilet, yes even eating and toilet was an activity.

Its called switching and pacing by Ellen Goldsmit heres a link

It doesn't help everyone but it's a good place to startBig Grin
Doctors don't always refer you to a specialist, sometimes you have to persist. If you havn't been referred by now, I would go back to your GP and insist on it.

M.E. clinics are very helpful and can offer a lot more specialised advice than a GP can.
